General symptoms of anaemia are:
- Breathlessness on exertion
- Chronically tired or fatigued - this is the main symptom as there is not enough oxygen flowing to the cells of the body
- Easily bruising
- Feeling faint or dizzy
- Inability to concentrate
- Pallour (paleness of skin and looking sickly)
Further symptoms of anaemia are:
