Q: Just wondering if Tryptophan can still be purchased in Australia?
A: The short answer is yes, but with a special proviso.
"Over the counter" tryptophan cannot be purchased without a prescription from your general practitioner (GP) in Australia.
The precursor to tryptophan in the body is 5-Hydroxy-Tryptophan, which can be obtained by your naturopath, it seems, in Queensland only.
